Diving at a Rent & Dive spot

Welcome to the subOceana Rent & Dive spots — the simplest way to try scuba diving before buying a complete set of gear.

  1. If the owner set the unit to free mode, just left-click it. Otherwise right-click the “L$” symbol and pay the amount shown. Some units let you choose how long you want to dive: left-click the “L$” symbol on the terminal to read the price per minute in chat, and multiply it by the time you want to spend underwater.
  2. You receive a folder called “R&D Spot Scuba Gear”: accept it. (If you already have one, you can decline and use yours.)
  3. Stay next to the terminal and wear everything in the folder, in this order: first the “_HEPS TIMER - Wear me First”, then right-click the folder and choose “Add to outfit” for the remaining items.
  4. Walk into the water and enjoy your dive with a fully working subOceana Virtual Dive Systems basic set.
  5. At the end of your time (shown at the top left of your screen), the gear is removed automatically. You may keep your clothes on ;-)
  6. To dive longer, pay the same terminal again, or another one on your way.

Have fun!

Important

  • If you take off all your scuba gear, you lose your remaining time.
  • Rental time cannot be paused.
  • You must dive in the sim where you paid: you cannot cross sims during a rental.
  • If you detach the timer during a rental, you cannot buy extra time: wait for the end of your time to buy credit again.
  • If Second Life is slow, some items may detach and need to be worn again — especially if you used “Add to outfit” without wearing the timer first.
